The hotel has a number of elegant rooms of varying size, including a traditional Ballroom. The rooms lend themselves to banquets, receptions, meetings or private events. Bathing Trunks, Bathing Costumes & Bikinis
Should you require bathing clothes, please contact the pool department.

Bathrobes and Slippers
You will find bathrobes and slippers in your bathroom. If you require additional/replacement items, pleas contact Housekeeping.

Bed Linen
Extra eiderdowns, wool blankets or anti-allergy covers can be obtained by calling Housekeeping.

Beauty Treatment for Women and Men
The Hairdresser´s offers a range of beauty treatments and pampering for both women and men. For more information, please contact t´he Hairdressing Salon  or Reception.

Bicycles
The Concierge can organize men´s, women´s and children´s bicycles for you, and can also recommend suitable excursions.

Bottle Opener
The bottle opener is located in the basket by the mini bar.

Boutiques
The „Kempinski Boulevard“ is located on the ground floor of the hotel. Here you will find a selection of exclusive international clothing, shoes and jewellery, as well as a hairdresser´s.

Breakfast
We serve breakfast in „Reinhard´s im Kempinski“ between 6:30 to 11 am. You can choose from the extensive Breakfast Buffet or, if you wish á la carte.

Another option, from 8 am to midday, is the Croissant Breakfast in the Gobelinhalle.

You may also order Breakfast from Room Service. To order via telephone, please dial 5, to place an order the evening before, please fill out the order form and hang it on the outside of your door before 3 am. If the card is placed outside after 3 am, please inform reception to arrange collection. Please ensure, when filling out the form, that you include your name and room number, as well as signing it.

Please note that breakfast in your room is not included in the room rate, including room rates with breakfast, and the price will be calculated separately.

Bristol Bar
In the Bristol Bar, located on the ground floor behind the tapestry, you will find a wide range of international cocktails, and on certain days, live entertainment. You will find full details on the opening times under the Gastronomy section of the Hotel Guide.

Broadband Internet
There is a WLAN wireless network available throughout the whole hotel. There is also an analogue or ISDN telephone connection available for secure connections.

Business Center
Our Business Center is located on the ground floor next to the Reception. It is ideal for small meetings for up to 7 people. Each room has a computer with internet access and a printer, along with a television, video recorder and a mini-bar.

Our Telephone Centre is also happy to help you out with secretarial services you may require: Email, fax, word processing, courier services, Internet connection , a workstation, photocopying, notebook computers, mobile telephones, dictation devices and translation services.

Butler Service

The Hotel accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard and Visa. Personal cheques will not be accepted. Traveller Cheques are accepted, and Reception will accept foreign  currency at the current exchange rates.

Please contact Reception when you wish to exchange foreign currency. The current exchange rates are on display in Reception.

Your room will remain available until midday on the day of your departure. Please contact Reception, should you need to stay longer.

Dispatch

If you do not want to be disturbed by housekeeping etc., please hang the red “Do not disturb” sign on the outside of your room´s door. If you also do not want to receive telephone calls, please contact the Operator or Reception.

The Concierge will be glad to have your films developed for you. He can also arrange for a professional photographer should you require one.

Fire Extinguisher
There are fire extinguishers on all floors and in all open areas. In case of fire, you should contact the Operator immediately.

You can find detailed information on what to do in the case of a fire in the Hotel Guide under “Safety Information” and there is an evacuation plan on the inside of your door.

First Aid
We have trained First Aiders among our employees; please contact the Operator should you require their services.

Fitness
Our Fitness room is located in the basement next to the pool and the Wellness area.

Flight Information,  Reservations and Confirmations
The Concierge can make flight reservations, alterations to itinerary and confirmations for you. The Concierge will also gladly arrange a limousine service, taxi or other shuttle service for you.

Flowers
You can order flowers from the Concierge.

Flower Vases
You can obtain vases of various sizes from Housekeeping.

Foreign Currency
Should you require foreign currency, or to change foreign currency into Euros, please contact Reception. The actual Exchange Rates are displayed in Reception.

Garage
The hotel does not posses its own parking garage. We will be happy to park your vehicle in the public parking structure on the Kempinski Plaza, which is under 24 hours surveillance. For details of the rates, please ask the Concierge.

Please inform the Concierge when you require  your vehicle to be delivered to the main entrance. Please allow for up to 15 minutes for the delivery of your vehicle.

Gobelin Halle/Lobby Lounge
Our Lobby Lounge, the Gobelin Halle (Tapestry Hall) is located on the ground floor in the immediately next to the Reception. We offer you here a wide selection of torts and cakes, as well as snacks and drinks. The Gobelin Halle is renowned for its High Tea. Grill/Kempinski Grill
The renowned Kempinski Grill has been a highlight of the Berlin gastronomy scene since its opening in 1952. This gourmet restaurant offers a rich range of international dishes, excellent wine in fine surroundings, with the unique open kitchen with a lava stone grill. The Salon serves women, men and children. It is located in the “Kempinski Boulevard” on the ground floor. For more information, please see “Other Services” in the Hotel Guide.

Heating
You can regulate the temperature in all rooms and suites using the thermostat. Please contact Reception if you require further instructions or help.

Massages and Wellbeing - relax, relax, relax.
„Relax your mind“ is the name of the Wellness spa in the Kempinski. Working in conjunction with the Hairdresser and the Beauty Salon, we offer a range of high quality  products and massages of various kinds are available . You can of course expct personalised treatment from the masseuse. Just choose the type of massage you require.

For more information and to book an appointment with the masseuse, please contact the pool directly or ask at Reception.

Medicine - Storage and Collection
Due to the fluctuation of temperature in the mini-bar in the bedrooms, we do not recommend them for storing medicine, creams or lotions. The Concierge can however arrange for their storage in an appropriately cooled room. Please contact the Concierge directly should you require this service.

Messages/Notes
Written messages will be delivered directly to your room.

Should you receive a message via Voice-Mail, you can retrieve it using the cordless telephone in your room. To retrieve the message, take your cordless telephone and dial the number 4999 and press the green button. When the automated voice mail system answers, please follow the verbal menu using the telephone keypad.

In rooms that have a separate telephone line, there is a blinking red light to inform you that somebody tried to contact you in your absence. This does not automatically mean that a Voice-Mail message has been left. Depending on the sytem, you may also receive information about the call, even if the caller did not leave a message.

Photocopying in black and white or colour, as well as in various sizes on different types of paper or transparencies is available from the Telephone Centre.

Pillows
Should you require additional pillows, please contact Housekeeping. They will give you a list of the available sizes and types of pillow that are available.

“Please Clean the Room” (»Bitte Zimmer reinigen«)
Please hang the green “Please Clean the Room” sign on the outside of your room´s door, when you wish to have the room cleaned. You may also contact Housekeeping directly.

Pool Area
The Bristol Spa, located in the basement, is built in a Greco-Roman style and spoils our guests with a comfortably temperate pool, a sauna area with a steam room and dry sauna and connecting cold room, with fresh air and cold water pool; there is also a wellness bar.

There is a small fitness room with exercise machines and also modern sun loungers to complete the offer.

Service is very important to us, and we don´t just mean friendly personnel, but also making hand- and sauna towels, bath robes and body care products are available free of charge. 

Post, Parcel Service and Postage Stamps
Postage stamps can be bought from the Concierge. We will also be happy to post your letters, post cards and parcels. We can also help to wrap up parcels for you.

Radio
The radio stations are programmed into the television set. The list of current radio programmes is listed in the TV guide, which is in your room. The radio stations are programmed into channels 40 to 47. Pressing the Radio button on the television remote control accesses them.

Railway Station
In the immediate neighbourhood is the Zoologischer Garten station, which caters for regional trains as well as the citywide train network. There are fast connections from this station to Potsdam, the Schönefeld Airport and all other locations within the city of Berlin.

The Lehrter station is located in the Government district in the middle of the city and is about 20 minutes away by train. From here you can catch national connections for the Deutsche Bahn (German Rail).

The Berliner Ostbahnhof (East Station) is also located within the central district and is approximately 25 minutes away. Some regional trains and certain national and international connections for Deutsche Bahn leave from here.

The room cleaning takes place during the week between 8 am and 4 pm, at weekends and on bank holiday between 9 am and 5 pm.

Safe
Some rooms have an electronic safe built in. Should you require help using the safe, please contact the Concierge.

We recommend that our guests, whose rooms do not have a safe, use our free storage room in Reception. The Management are not responsible for the loss of personal property in the Hotel. Please also note that we conform to German law in regard to the receipt and storage of valuable items.  

Sauna
There is a dry sauna and a steam room, as well as an attached cold room with fresh air and a cold bath located in the Pool are in the basement.

Secretarial Services
The Concierge can arrange for a personal secretary for you. Further, our Telephone Centre provides simpler secretarial services and the adjoining Business Centre is also available. 

Sewing Kit
Housekeeping offers a sewing repair service. There is also a sewing kit located in your wardrobe.

Shaving Set
Please contact Housekeeping, if you require a shaving set which consists of a disposable razor and shaving foam.

Shoe Cleaning Service
Please place shoes outside your room door before 2 am. They will be returned the following morning. Should you require the shoes for a specific time, please let us know.

Shuttle Service

Sightseeing
There is a lot to see in Berlin within easy reach of the Hotel. Further information is available from the Concierge.

Smoke Detectors
All rooms and open areas are equipped with smoke detectors, which are connected to the central fire alarm panel in Reception. Additionally there is a sprinkler system on the ground floor. If you discover a fire, phone the Operator and notify them of the location and size of the fire.

The smoke detector in your room is located in the entryway. It will also be triggered by thick cigarette or cigar smoke or steam. Further information on the the fire prevention and detection measures in the Hotel are available from the Duty Manager.

Please read the instruction in your room and at the emergency exits. All emergency exits are signed posted with the international green sign. Please also read the detailed information in the “Security Information” section of the Hotel Guide. 

Solarium
There are two solariums in the pool area in the basement.

Spa
The Bristol Spa, located in the basement, is built in a Greco-Roman style and spoils our guests with a comfortably temperate pool, a sauna area with a steam room and dry sauna and connecting cold room, with fresh air and cold water pool; there is also a wellness bar.

There is a small fitness room with exercise machines and also modern sun loungers to complete the offer.

Service is very important to us, and we don´t just mean friendly personnel, but also making hand- and sauna towels, bath robes and body care products are available free of charge. 

Sport
There is a small fitness room equipped with exercise machines in the pool area in the basement.

The Concierge can advise you on, and organise access to, external gyms and fitness centres.

Please contact the Concierge for table reservations. He will be happy to make a reservation in one of our Restaurants, as well as external establishments. Taxi
There is  a Taxi rank directly by the main entrance to the Hotel. The Concierge can arrange special requests, and taxis for longer distances, for you.

Technical Problems
Should you experience technical problems in your room, please contact Housekeeping or Reception. We strive to fix all problems immediately.

Every room is equipped with at least one telephone. Your room has a unique phone number, in the format: “+49 30 8843 4 + Room Number”. This allows external calls to be taken directly. Please inform the Operator or Reception if you would like to disable this service.

Telephone Numbers
The Telephone Centre (Operator) can supply you with national and international prefixs if required. There is also a selection of prefixes listed in the Hotel Guide in the section labelled “Telephone Instructions and Internet Connection”.     

Television and Radio
The available television channels are programmed into the television set in your room. The Radio stations are programmed into channels 40 to 47.  

Theatre, Concerts and Opera Tickets
Please contact the Concierge for advice, recommendations and the reservation of tickets.

Tobacconist and Cigarettes
A selection of cigars are available in the Gobelinhalle, the Bristol Bar and in the Restaurant “Kempinski Grill”. Cigarettes are available from our Service Staff or from the Concierge. 

Translation Services
The Concierge will be happy to arrange for translation services or a translater for you.

Travel Arrangements
The Concierge can advise you and book tickets for your further travels.

Valet Parking
The hotel does not posses its own parking garage. We will be happy to park your vehicle in the public parking structure on the Kempinski Plaza, which is under 24 hours surveillance. For details of the rates, please ask the Concierge.

Please inform the Concierge when you require your vehicle to be delivered to the main entrance. Please allow for up to 15 minutes for the delivery of your vehicle.

Valuables
Some rooms have an electronic safe built in. Should you require help using the safe, please contact the Concierge.

We recommend that our guests, whose rooms do not have a safe, use our free storage room in Reception. The Management are not responsibel for the loss of personal property in the Hotel. Please also note that we conform to German law in regard to the receipt and storage of valuable items.

Video Recorder
Video records are available for rent by our guests. Detailed information is available in the Hotel Guide in the section labelled “CD/DVD”.

Voice-Mail
  Should you receive a message via Voice-Mail, you can retrieve it using the cordless telephone in your room. To retrieve the message, take your cordless telephone and dial the number 4999 and press the green button. When the automated voice mail system answers, please follow the verbal menu using the telephone keypad.

In rooms that have a separate telephone line, there is a blinking red light to inform you that somebody tried to contact you in your absence. This does not automatically mean that a Voice-Mail message has been left. Depending on the system, you may also receive information about the call, even if the caller did not leave a message.
